People ask me all the time now, if being mom has changed me. The answer is "Yes. 100%!"

As a mom to Felix, who is now 4.5 months and the cutest thing in the world (doesn't every mom say that ;)), I have been seeing life from a different -larger!- perspective.

I don't care so much about the little things. I have become 1000% more efficient in some ways and 1000% less efficient in others. My sense of time has shifted completely. I have learned to surrender my do-er personality big time (and am still learning that every day!). Most of all, I have become massively aware of how I want to live my life as a rolemodel to Felix, so that he can live the best possible life himself.

In today's post, I am sharing the 10 life philosophies I want Felix to grow up with that I think everyone who wants to live a fulfilled, sweet, successful life should live by.

1. There are treasures to be found everywhere.

I truly believe that life on this earth is so rich, so abundant and so beautiful that there are treasures to be found everywhere; in nature and in humans, deep in the ground and up in the sky, in random coincidences and in daily routines. Walk through life with curious sparkles in your eyes.

2. Love freely.

Love, I believe, is not something we can ever run out of. You don't have to reserve your love. The more love we give out, the more love we will receive. Although relationships and friendships end, it doesn't mean that love was wasted. Nobody is "safe" from heartache -not those who protect their heart and not those who love freely- so we might as well love freely and experience our relationships to the fullest; giving ourselves the best chance at finding reciprocated love.

3. Don't punish yourself into action.

Motivation can be drawn from 2 sources: 1. Punishment ("If I don't do this, I will ____ (punishment) myself.") or 2. Celebration ("If I manage to do this, I will ____ (celebration).
Choose #2.

4. Surrender to the things you cannot change.

And I don't mean "surrender" as in giving up. I mean "surrender" as in don't put your hand on the hot stove over and over thinking it won't burn you next time. If something simply doesn't want to work, take a step back, rethink the situation and find an alternative path.

5. Know yourself well.

You can never know yourself well enough. Especially because we are constantly changing and evolving, growing from one role into the next. That makes self-discovery a life long adventure (not a 1 workshop discovery).

6. Speak your truth & express your dreams and ideas even if it feels scary.

There is never a good enough reason to hide your true voice or make your dreams smaller than they are. We often do this to make others more comfortable or to avoid judgement, but ultimately we only hurt ourselves.

7. Trust your gut.

We all have intuition. Build a relationship with it and you will lead a life that is far less confusing and much more clear in terms of your desires and decisions. Nothing feels more empowering than fully being on board with your whole self.

8. Life is a journey not a destination.

I know, I know, you've heard this one a thousand times. But it's true. If you only focus on the outcome and the results, you massively deprive yourself of the daily pleasures. Live every day in the fullest expression of yourself and the life you seek to create.

9. Think positively and expect great things to happen to you.

Your thoughts become your reality, so if you expect good things, good things will indeed happen. Call it magnetism. It works.

10. Don't take yourself too seriously.

Of course you want to honor yourself, but that doesn't mean that you cannot laugh about your own mistakes. Honor yourself with humor. It will set you free from many uncomfortable emotions, including shame, guilt, embarrassment, regret, and self-doubt. Laughter makes forgiveness (of yourself and others) way easier.

Lots of love to you.
